Biological Reactors
Large-scale production of selected microorganisms.
The process employed by Workgen allows us to identify latent indigenous microorganisms in any polluted environment through specific HSP and then promote the activation of these indigenous microorganisms using biological reactors.
As a result of the activities of the reactors, an increased BIOMASS will be produced (in more than a hundred native microorganisms / ml) that allows the initialization (BioAddition) and then, in the sequence, to maintain (Bio-Maintenance) the process of accelerated bioremediation of the toxic components in the environment.
Bio-augmentation processes, as they deal with living organisms, need to be extremely well controlled to prevent possible contamination from harming the results.
All procedures and processes are monitored by trained technicians, aiming at: cleaning the environment, asepsis of the tanks , temperature control in the reactors, speed of movements, cycle time, quality of the strains, among other quality indicators.
The biomass of microorganisms is obtained after carrying out the Bio-augmentation processes in special reactors with precisely controlled procedures.
After this stage, the biomass is sent for dehydration and later "dry foods" are added for the subsequent stage of bio-augmentation in the customer's environment.

Advanced Biotreatment Units
Worgen Biotech's Advanced Units are ideal for large customers who need constant monitoring of their operations such as cities, agro-industries, mining and large industries.
Designed so that their operations are modular, independent and multifunctional, allowing our customers to operate with high technical availability.
They may even contain Bio-augmentation Bioreactors inside, depending on the volume and treatment areas involved or if the volumes to be treated are very large, external attachments may be available.
Biomass produced in the laboratory is sent in sealed packages to the field units within our customers' facilities, where they will be Bio-augmented to meet large volumes of treatment.
Within the Workgen Biotech Advanced Bio-Treatment Units, we have a set of equipment that aim to provide autonomy for microbiological treatment, namely:
- Bio-reactors
- Laboratory furniture and materials such as: benches, cabinets, glassware, precision scales and accessories
- Office furniture (tables, chairs, cabinets, shelves...)
- Mini warehouse with protection grid
- Computer equipment: computer, printers, switch, router, rack, UPS and cabling
- Security: alarm center, perimeter sensors, sirens, DVRs, cameras and presence sensors
- Clothing closet with PPE and EPCs
- Sinks, soap, paper and alcohol gel dispensers
- Lighting, sockets, power clock, surge protectors and grounding
- Air conditioners and exhaust fans
- Hydraulic piping, taps, valves, water tank and hose
- Doors, windows and partitions, perimeter reflectors and emergency lights
- Depending on the project, you can even include mini kitchens and bathrooms
Bio-Augmentation Reactors
Workgen's Bio-Reactors are responsible for the Bio-Augmentation of microorganisms that were extracted from the customer's environment, developed in the laboratory and returned in the form of dehydrated biomass.
With modular architecture, the reactors can be structured in lines or in parallel, allowing great flexibility and operational dynamism, responding quickly to fluctuations in the volumes of contaminants in the treatment plants (sewage or effluents).
Equipped with IoT (Internet of Things) sensors, their remote monitoring is fully tracked in real time via GEO-IoT software (www.geo-iot.com), thus allowing the entire operational history, temperature, humidity, volumes, phase of the cycles, among other information pertinent to the process.
